Condition: Permed Hair
Permed hair is oxidized hair. The process of using oxidizers on the hair can cause many side affects to the hair, scalp and skin exposed including:
- Lifting of hair color
- Scalp irritation and itching
- Breakage & dryness due to over-processing
- Skin rash and sensitivity
- Odor from perm chemicals
- Perm solution bonding with oxidized iron causes purple residue that affects perm results
In addition, many stylists experience irritation on their hands when rinsing the oxidizer (neutralizer) from the hair. Click here for more information on the perm process.

Wellness Solution
Our wellness approach helps control oxidation before, during and after perming to assure no oxidized minerals interfere with the perm process and no oxidizers remain on the hair, scalp or skin causing adverse effects. Our wellness approach uses nature's own vitamin C and vitamin E to help:
- Remove oxidized minerals that may have attached on to the proteins of the hair and inhibit proper processing of the perm.
- Normalize the pH balance of the hair.
- Normalize the exfoliation rate of the scalp.
- Stop oxidation caused by the neutralizer.
- Help prevent itching.
- Help prevent perm odor.
- Help prevent breakage.
To prevent many of the oxidizing problems associated with permed hair, use an EC Mode Waves perm formulated without the harsh oxidizer peroxide.
